personal
personalityTo put it simply? Lionel's a leopard with some anger management issues and a mouth that could make even the most hardened sailors blush.
His anger issues sometimes get in the way of his ideals, and he can allow his judgement to be clouded, particularly where humans are concerned. He has little mercy for the entire race in general, and believes that they are the scum of the earth and his views on metal-men aren't much better.
He surrounds himself in strong people, both mentally and physically strong, as weak people tend to grate on his nerves, and although he won't say it aloud, sometimes he feels as if he is unable to protect them, and he wants to keep liabilities to a minimum.
He's not above doing the dirty work himself, and most of the time he's right there in the middle of fighting along with the other revolutionaries, rather than sitting back like other leaders. He enjoys being on the 'front lines' so to say, and believes that those who are to unwilling to die themselves do not deserve to fight.
Though his manner may be gruff, Lionel cares for those he considers friends, and he cares for his family in particular. He's somewhat overprotective in a gruff sort of way, though he's more prone to yelling his opinions than saying them peacefully. appearancefirst off, he's got fucking spots. and though he loathes to say it, a bodice-ripper hero physique--or, in plainer terms, a strongly muscled chest and arms.
His spots cover most of his skin and are darker (almost black in color) than his normal olive tone. Even his hair is spotted, though rather than being black, the spots there are strangely white--a sharp contrast against his dark hair. His eyes are a rather pale grey--a trademark of his snow leopard heritage.
historyThe eldest son of a snow leopard and a black leopard, it's a fairly well known fact that Lionel and his parents didn't exactly see eye to eye.
As such, it wasn't very surprising when Lionel moved out of the family home, after a particularly nasty argument with his parents. He was never able to understand how they were simply content to sit back and let the humans overpower them.
The mere idea had always struck him as insane, and as a rather hot headed young man, even at the age of 15, Lionel couldn't take it any longer, and thus, he struck out on his own.
Though young, he was able to make a reputation for himself, and supposedly, that's when the ideas for the hybrid revolution first came into being.
Those ideas were two years later, when Lionel, still somewhat close with his sisters, decided to visit the family home, having finally been convinced to at least try and be on amiable ground with them.
Unfortunately, this would never happen.
Because when Lionel returned, the Talbot family home was in flames, smoke reaching high to the sky.
By the time he got into the house, his father was already dead and his mother was clinging to the last strands of life.
The last words he heard from her were 'save your sisters.'.
And that's what Lionel did.
He was the one to watch the human trucks pull away, he was the one to drag his sister's from the burning shack his family called a home and he was the one to pull his parents signed corpses from the dilapidated structure as the flames died down. He was the one forced to look at his sister's sooty faces and tell them that their parents were dead. He had to watch their faces crumple with tears.
Some would say that was the trigger, and most would say that is when the revolution started.
And in that, they'd be right.
After the death of his parents, Lionel shouldered most of the responsibility for his sisters, though he was more distant than not.
During this time, he was slowly but surely drawing members to join the revolution-the first of his recruits being Idris.
At the time, the cobra hybrid was preying upon both other hybrids and animals alike.
Attacked by the other hybrid, Lionel only just barely managed to doge the other's poison, resulting in the burns on his arm. After a friendly fight, the two slowly became comrades and Lionel forced convinced Idris to join.
Afterwards, the two met Nadia, though Idris had more contact with the swan hybrid.
And finally, the Revolution was born.
